About Me

Then...



In case you get this far, and wanted to know more about me, I finally am getting around to figuring out this concept!  I'm a 41 year old mom to 2 teenage girls, wife to my high school sweetheart for 22 years, and live in a constant state of disarray with our 5 cats.  I was a stay at home mom for nearly 14 years and recently rejoined the working world.  For the first time ever, I can say I actually like my job.  I am a receptionist (for almost a year now!) at the same place my husband Steve has been employed for 4 years.  It's great, because I hate driving, and it ends up, it's about an hour long commute in the morning, and an hour & a half to get home.  If I could change 1 thing about my job, it would be location.. other than that, it is really nice there.

I have been a Navy brat, and an Army wife, and did very little traveling, oddly.  I spent my first 11 years in Virginia, then the next 8 in Pennsylvania.  After marrying Steve, he went in the Army, and I spent 3 years in Georgia, then back to PA for another 9 years, and finally 1 year in Maryland prior to buying our first home in West by God Virginia where we have been 9 years already.  I don't think I have much of an accent, but sometimes the southern twang comes out.  Unless of course, you're from someplace far away, like Australia, then I obviously have an accent and can't pronounce a lot of words properly.  Like Melbourne.

This blog is what it says it is.. my simple life.  The mundane, the fun, the drama (and with 2 teenage girls, there's bound to be plenty o' drama), and just life in general.  I don't consider myself funny, but you may find yourself laughing anyway from time to time.  It's ok.. sometimes it's better to laugh, than to cry.
